There are 65 days left in 2014...

I've made quite a bit of progress since starting the 72 day challenge.
I've cut down on the number of cigarettes I'm smoking.
I'm on the way to moving upstairs.
I've even started exercising!

1. Have cut down number of cigarettes I'm smoking. On track to success for resolution No. 1
2. Started walking! Walked for 25 minutes this morning. On track to success for resolution No. 2
3. Guy from mattress shop came and measured the bed upstairs for a mattress. The mattress will be delivered tomorrow. On track to success for resolution No. 3
4. Still thinking about what my quest could be. No concrete ideas yet.
5. Writing the journal every day that I'm in office.
9. Didn't do back exercises. Failure on resolution No. 9
10. Didn't cook last week for my daughter. Must do so this week.
12. Didn't make any special effort to look good today. Bummer!
13. Trying to get the car's tires changed early this week so I can go for driving lessons from Saturday.

There are 71 days left in 2014...

1. I was able to resist the urge to smoke what would have been an unscheduled cigarette by chewing on some nicotine gum. Usually, it's really hard for me to ignore the urge to smoke and reach instead for the nicotine gum. I'm proud of myself. So, in a sense, success! (for No. 1 resolution)

2. I was not able to get up to go for a walk this morning. Or rather, I got up, dressed my daughter for school, saw her off, and then went back to sleep. Felt guilty about it, but it was just so hard to wake up!!! Failure on No 2 resolution

3. Went upstairs with Binti to check it out. Need to cut off the leaves of a coconut tree outside the bedroom window which are making it hard to open the windows. Felt happy going upstairs, even just to look around. On track to success for No 3 resolution.

4. Still no idea about what my quest or business could be. But I'm thinking every day and trying hard to find an answer (or two). On track to success for resolution No. 4.

9. Did not do back exercises. Failure for resolution No. 9

11. Went to salon! Success for resolution No. 10 for this month.

13. Spoke to driver about taking driving lessons again. On track to success for resolution No. 13

There are 72 days left in 2014...

Instead of a 100 day challenge, I have decided to take a 72 day challenge after reading a post on GiveLiveExplore.com.
These are a list of 13 resolutions and goals I mean to accomplish by the end of 2014:

1. Lessen the number of cigarettes I smoke and quit by October 31, 2014
2. Start exercising, walking for 45 minutes every morning
3. Move upstairs by December 31, 2014
4. Find my quest by December 31, 2014
5. Write a journal every day in attempt to find my quest
6. Make life richer by adding fun life experiences every day
7. Read a new book every week
8. Watch one good movie every week
9. Do my back exercises twice a day, every day
10. Cook once a week for my daughter
11. Go to the salon once a month
12. Make an effort to look good and dress well every day
13. Start taking driving lessons every weekend as soon as the car tires are fixed

I will be updating my blog every day to let you see whether I have, in fact, lived up to my resolutions
